This
screen shot/illustration depicts the "Personal Information" Tab.
This tab opens a window template that when populated contains a child's or family
member's basic and personal information. The information gathered is designed
to comprehensively capture the child's basic information and the parent's or legal
guardian's contact information. Information
is gathered in an easy to use template that contains a blank field of information.
The end user merely populates the fields by depressing the tab key each time a
field is completed. The information can be updated at any time. The template also
allows for a mother, father and or guardian's separate and specific information.
The left panel is reserved for a sponsor's message or important safety tips. Note,
the header depicts an expiration date and a version create date. The
end user can add additional children or family members at anytime, simply by depressing
the "Add Child" key located at the top of the screen. Note, the end user can eliminate
a person's entry by depressing the "Remove Entry" key located at the top of the
page. Lastly, once the end user has populated information in the template, it
is possible to backup information to any internal or external drive by depressing
the "Create Disk" key. This

This
tab opens a window that when populated contains a child's pertinent and vital
information. The information contains fields that are both prone to change, i.e.,
height, weight, shoe size and some fields like eye color, blood type and Identifying
Scars, Physical/Mental Handicaps that generally stay static. All of the fields
are useful in properly identifying a emergency victim or missing child/other family
member. Note, there is an automatic time and date stamp feature that populates
in the first field of the template, once information is recorded in the template.
This
feature is used to track the aging of the information recorded. Again, the left
panel of the page can be customized. In this case, an html file or web page is
imbedded for informational purposes. Note, the "Add Child" key, "Remove Entry"
key, and the "Create Disk" remain accessible regardless of what tab is depressed. This
screen shot/illustration depicts the "Media Tab".
This
tab when depressed opens up an electronic media center for importing and exporting
digital photographs, digital fingerprints, digital video and audio clips. Each
of the areas of the media center are accessible via a second set of tabs located
at the bottom of the page. Note, this page shows the "Picture/ Photos" tab depressed,
thus revealing (4) distinct photographs imported into a photo window template,
located to the right of the page.
Note, the software automatically sizes each photo to the window once the photo
has been loaded. Photographs can be imported from any internal or external drive
by depressing the load button to the right of the picture window. A variety of
file types can be imported/loaded into the picture window to include but not limited
to: Jpeg Image files (ipg), Jpeg Image files, (jpeg) Bitmaps (bmp), Icons (ico),
enhanced metafiles (emf), and metafiles (wmf) The automatic picture sizing feature
during picture loading eliminates the need for the end user to know how to manipulate
or size the imported image. Secondly, each picture window is characterized by
picture type (Head Shot, Full Body, Profile (no smile), Profile (smiling) and
contains an actual "create date", when the photograph was originally taken. This
software feature is extremely important as it essential to reference and post
dates of photos when conducting a recovery effort. Also, the FBI claims it is
essential to have all 4 picture types captured in order to properly identify and
hopefully locate a missing child. This
screen shot/illustration depicts the "Media Tab" (located at the top of page)
and the "Fingerprint Tab" (located at the bottom of the page), depressed.
This combination causes the fingerprint windows to open for import and export.
Note, the top fingerprint windows are for thumb prints only, while the bottom
windows feature the entire left and right hand. Any window can be opened by depressing
the load key to the right of each window. A variety of file types can also be
imported/loaded into the fingerprint window to include but not limited to: Jpeg
Image files (jpg), Jpeg Image files, (ipeg) Bitmaps (bmp), Icons (ico), enhanced
metafiles (emf), and metafiles (wmf) Note, all fingerprint images once imported
are time and date stamped in accordance with the original create date of the image. This
screen shot/illustration depicts the "Media Tab" (located at the top of the page)
and the "Video Tab" (located at the bottom of the page), depressed.
This
combination causes the "Video Tab" window to open for import and export of a digital
video. Note, the load video button when depressed allows for the import of a variety
of formats to include but not limited to: wav files, flash media and all formats
compatible with Windows Media Player. Note, software application allows for import
of video/image and audio files. This
screen shot/illustration depicts the "Media Tab"(located at the tope of the page)
and the Audio/Sounds Tab (located at the bottom of the page), depressed.
This combination cases the "Audio Tab" window to open for import and export of
Windows compatible audio files. The end user can import audio files from any internal
or external hard drive or create a new audio file by connecting a microphone to
the computer in use. Note, the audio player can play and or record similar to
most tape/recording machines. This
screen shot/illustration depicts the "Resource Tab".
This
tab will feature safety web links that will provide useful safety and abduction
prevention tips. If the end-user is connected to the Internet at the time of use,
the window will open in a web browser so as to allow the end-user to navigate
to different areas of interest on the web page. The Homeland Security version
of this CD/DVD ID will feature safety survival tips and web links. This
screen shot/illustration features a customizable, "Key Sponsor Tab".
The
Key Sponsor for the CD/DVD ID program is expected to change from time to time
and therefore this window is easy to update, simply by importing an HTML file
from any internal or external hard drive, into the software program. The "Key
Sponsor" Tab can feature a corporate sponsor's web site as well. This

member's disappearance. Note, also that this tab is used to reference important
numbers that will be used during the recovery of a missing child. Each of the
relevant case and contact numbers are made easily accessible for the end user.
The CD/DVD ID is designed to be compatible with the Amber Alert Network and the
Home Security Act innovation requirements.
the Contact number on the poster is usually the Local Police and or the parent/guardian's
home telephone number. The electronic poster can be printed out and mailed or
faxed or the poster can be electronically and distributed via e mail in an instant.
Instantaneous transmission of poster images will save time and lives as it eliminates
traditional typified by fax or direct mail distribution.
